Providencia (Spanish "providence") is a municipality ("comuna") of Chile located on the province of Santiago in the Santiago Metropolitan Region. It is one of the municipalities in the eastern part of the city where high-income families live; being closer to the center of the city, its architecture is more high-density and highrise than that of Las Condes to its east.
