| Patau's syndrome |
A chromosome abnormality in which there are three copies of chromosome 13 instead of two. It is also called Trisomy 13. Babies with a full trisomy 13 may not survive pregnancy, or may have short lives and require specialised nursing, but some can be cared for at home and may live longer than first predicted.
