Parinaud's ophthalmoplegia syndrome Palsy of vertical gaze that may or may not be associated with pupillary or oculomotor nerve paresis. It is caused by a lesion at the level of the anterior corpora quadrigemina of the brain.

Parinaud's oculoglandular s. a general term applied to conjunctivitis, most often unilateral, usually of the follicular type, followed by tenderness and enlargement of the preauricular lymph nodes; it is often caused by infection with a leptothrix or may be associated with other infections, such as cat-scratch fever, lymphogranuloma venereum, and tularemia.
