a genus of parasitic or free-living ameboid protozoa (suborder Conopodina, order Amoebida), characterized by the presence of both a nucleus and a nucleus-like body; some authorities consider the latter to be a protistan hyperparasite and not a secondary nucleus. Formerly called Craigia.
