  • NADP - »õâ Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. A coenzyme composed of ribosylnicotinamide 5'-phosphate (NMN) coupled by pyrophosphate linkage to the 5'-phosphate adenosine 2',5'-bisphosphate. It serves as an electron carrier in a number of reactions, being alternately oxidized (NADP+) and reduced (NADPH). (Dorland, 27th ed)
Synonyms : NADPH, Dinucleotide Phosphate, Nicotinamide-Adenine, Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate, Nucleotide, Triphosphopyridine, Phosphate, Nicotinamide-Adenine Dinucleotide
  • NADP Transhydrogenase - »õâ An enzyme present in the mitochondrial membrane of animals and in microorganisms. In the presence of energy (ATP) it catalyzes reversibly the reduction of NAD by NADPH to yield NADP and NADH. This reaction permits the utilization of the reducing properties of NADPH by the respiratory chain and in the reverse direction it allows the reduction of NADP for biosynthetic purposes. EC 1.6.1.1.
Synonyms : Energy-Linked Transhydrogenase, Mitochondrial Transhydrogenase, NAD Transhydrogenase, NADPH NAD Transhydrogenase, NADPH Transferase, Nicotinamide Nucleotide Transhydrogenase, Transhydrogenase, Energy Linked Transhydrogenase, NAD Transhydrogenase, NADPH
  • NADPH Dehydrogenase - »õâ A flavoprotein that reversibly oxidizes NADPH to NADP and a reduced acceptor. EC 1.6.99.1.
Synonyms : Dehydrogenase, NADP, Dehydrogenase, NADPH, Diaphorase, NADP, Diaphorase, NADPH, Diaphorase, TPN, Enzyme, Old Yellow
  • NADPH Oxidase - »õâ A flavoprotein enzyme that catalyzes the univalent reduction of OXYGEN using NADPH as an electron donor to create SUPEROXIDE ANION. The enzyme is dependent on a variety of CYTOCHROMES. Defects in the production of superoxide ions by enzymes such as NADPH oxidase result in GRANULOMATOUS DISEASE, CHRONIC.
Synonyms : NAD(P)H oxidase, Oxidase, NADPH
  • NADPH-Ferrihemoprotein Reductase - »õâ A flavoprotein that catalyzes the reduction of heme-thiolate-dependent monooxygenases and is part of the microsomal hydroxylating system. EC 1.6.2.4.
Synonyms : Cytochrome P-450 Oxidase, Cytochrome P450 Reductase, Ferrihemoprotein P450 Reductase, NADPH Cytochrome P450 Oxidoreductase, NADPH Cytochrome P450 Reductase, NADPH-Cytochrome P450 Reductase, NADPH-P450 Reductase, Cytochrome P 450 Oxidase, NADPH P450 Reductase
