  • Mannheimia - »õâ Genus of bacteria in the family PASTEURELLACEAE, comprising multiple species that do not ferment trehalose. Species include MANNHEIMIA HAEMOLYTICA; M. glucosida, M. granulomatis, M. ruminalis, and M. varigena.
    Synonyms : Mannheimia glucosida, Mannheimia granulomatis, Mannheimia ruminalis, Mannheimia varigena, Pasteurella granulomatis
  • Mannheimia haemolytica - »õâ A species of gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacteria normally commensal in the flora of CATTLE and SHEEP. But under conditions of physical or physiological STRESS, it can cause MASTITIS in sheep and SHIPPING FEVER or ENZOOTIC CALF PNEUMONIA in cattle. Its former name was Pasteurella haemolytica.
