  • Integrin alpha3 - »õâ An integrin alpha subunit that occurs as alternatively spliced isoforms. The isoforms are differentially expressed in specific cell types and at specific developmental stages. Integrin alpha3 combines with INTEGRIN BETA1 to form INTEGRIN ALPHA3BETA1 which is a heterodimer found primarily in epithelial cells.
    Synonyms : CD49c Antigen, FRP-2, Fusion Regulatory Protein-2, alpha(3) Integrin, Antigen, CD49c, Fusion Regulatory Protein 2, alpha3, Integrin
  • Integrin alpha3beta1 - »õâ Cell surface receptor for LAMININ, epiligrin, FIBRONECTINS, entactin, and COLLAGEN. Integrin alpha3beta1 is the major integrin present in EPITHELIAL CELLS, where it plays a role in the assembly of BASEMENT MEMBRANE as well as in cell migration, and may regulate the functions of other integrins. Two alternatively spliced isoforms of the alpha subunit (INTEGRIN ALPHA3), are differentially expressed in different cell types.
    Synonyms : CD49c-CD29, Epiligrin Receptor, Galactoprotein b3, Gap b3, Integrin alpha(3)beta(1), Laminin-5 Receptor (alpha3beta1 integrin), VLA-3, alpha3beta1 Epiligrin Receptor, alpha3beta1 Integrin, Epiligrin Receptor, alpha3beta1, Integrin, alpha3beta1
