  • In Situ Hybridization - »õâ A technique that localizes specific nucleic acid sequences within intact chromosomes, eukaryotic cells, or bacterial cells through the use of specific nucleic acid-labeled probes.
Synonyms : Hybridization, In Situ, Hybridizations, In Situ, In Situ Hybridizations
  • In Situ Hybridization, Fluorescence - »õâ A type of IN SITU HYBRIDIZATION in which target sequences are stained with fluorescent dye so their location and size can be determined using fluorescence microscopy. This staining is sufficiently distinct that the hybridization signal can be seen both in metaphase spreads and in interphase nuclei.
Synonyms : FISH Technic, Hybridization in Situ, Fluorescent, In Situ Hybridization, Fluorescent, FISH Technics, FISH Techniques, Technic, FISH, Technics, FISH, Technique, FISH, Techniques, FISH
  • In Situ Nick-End Labeling - »õâ An in situ method for detecting areas of DNA which are nicked during APOPTOSIS. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase is used to add labeled dUTP, in a template-independent manner, to the 3 prime OH ends of either single- or double-stranded DNA. The terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase nick end labeling, or TUNEL, assay labels apoptosis on a single-cell level, making it more sensitive than agarose gel electrophoresis for analysis of DNA FRAGMENTATION.
Synonyms : In Situ Nick End Labeling, In Situ Nick End Labelling, In Situ Nick End-Labeling, In Situ Nick End-Labelling, In Situ Nick-End Labelling, Nick End-Labeling, In Situ, Nick End-Labelling, In Situ, Nick-End Labelling, In Situ, Nick End Labeling, In Situ
  • In Vitro - »õâ
Synonyms : In Vitro [PT], In Vitro [Pub Type], In Vitro [Publication Type]
  • Inappropriate ADH Syndrome - »õâ A condition of HYPONATREMIA and renal salt loss attributed to overexpansion of BODY FLUIDS resulting from sustained release of ANTIDIURETIC HORMONES which stimulates renal resorption of water. It is characterized by normal KIDNEY function, high urine OSMOLALITY, low serum osmolality, and neurological dysfunction. Etiologies include ADH-producing neoplasms, injuries or diseases involving the HYPOTHALAMUS, the PITUITARY GLAND, and the LUNG. This syndrome can also be drug-induced.
Synonyms : Syndrome of Inappropriate ADH (SIADH) Secretion, ADH Syndrome, Inappropriate, Schwartz Bartter Syndrome, Syndrome, Inappropriate ADH, Syndrome, Schwartz-Bartter
