Hegglin's anomaly A disorder in which neutrophils and eosinophils contain basophilic structures known as Dohle or Amato bodies and in which there is faulty maturation of platelets, with thrombocytopenia; autosomal dominant inheritance.
Synonym: May-Hegglin anomaly.

Hegglin's syndrome <syndrome> Dissociation between electromechanical systole (Q-SII interval) and electrical systole (Q-T interval) so that the second heart tone (SII) is recorded before the end of the T wave; described by Hegglin as an energy-dynamic cardiac insufficiency during diabetic coma and other metabolic disorders.
