Human T Cell Lymphotropic Virus Type I - single-stranded RNA virus that replicates through a DNA intermediate. Has an affinity for T lymphocytes. Appears to be the causative agent of certain T cell leukemias, T cell lymphomas, and HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis
