a genus of Fungi Imperfecti of the form-class Hyphomycetes, form-family Dematiaceae; some species were formerly included in the genera Hormodendrum and Cladosporium. F. compac´tum and F. pedro´soi are etiologic agents of chromoblastomycosis.
