| 설명 | 생물이 그 생명을 유지하며 또한 성장해 가는데 필요한 성분을 몸 밖으로 물질로부터 보급받는 것을 말한다. 탄수화물-지방-단백질을 주영양소라 하며 광물질-비타민 등을 보조영양소라 한다. 건강을 위해 영양가로서는 단순한 에너지뿐 아니라 지방-단백질 등도 고려해야 한다. 하루에 섭취가 요망되는 에너지 및 각종 영양소에 대하여는 따로 통계들이 나와있지만 기관에 따라 조금씩 다르다. 참고로 외부로부터 섭취하는 영양에 관여하는 물질을 통틀어 영양소라고 한다. 그러나 섭취하는 물질 전부를 영양소라고는 하지 않는다. 물은 모든 생물에 필요한 물질이지만 영양소라고는 하지 않고, 호흡할 때 들이마시는 산소나 녹색식물이 광합성 과정에서 섭취하는 이산화탄소도 영양소에 넣지 않는 것이 보통이다. |
