| 설명 | Mucor, Absidia 및 특히 Rhizopus 속의 균종을 포함한 Mucorales 목의 진균에 의한 곰팡이. 보통은 만성소모병이다. 특히 조절되지 않는 당뇨병의 합병증으로 일어나며 상부기도나 허파에서 시작되는 수가 가장 많고 그런 부위에 홀씨가 발아하여 균사로 되어 다른 장기에 전이된다. 면역력의 이상이 없는 건강인에서는 해가 없는 곰팡이로 코결굴, 허파, 위장창자관 감염을 잘 일으킨다. 이 곰팡이는 사이막이 없으며 두께가 불규칙하며 직각으로 분지한다. 허파의 감염시 악성종양에 일차적으로 감염하거나 코와 뇌의 털곰팡이증 후 이차적으로 감염된다. 출혈폐렴을 일으키며, 혈전과 혈전이하 부위의 경색을 동반한다. |

| mucormycosis | <microbiology> A fungal infection caused by infection with various fungi from the class, Zygomycetes. The organism is widely distributed through air, water and soil. This infection occurs predominately in the immunocompromised patient, burn patients and those on steroid therapy. The most common manifestation is an orbital cellulitis causing exophthalmia. Prognosis is guarded as the mortality rate is quite high. Treatment is with intravenous amphotericin B. (27 Sep 1997) |

| acute cutaneous leishmaniasis | A form of cutaneous leishmaniasis characterised by rural distribution of human cases near infected rodents, particularly communal ground squirrels; characterised by acute rapidly developing dermal lesions that become severely inflamed, with moist necrotizing sores or ulcers that heal in two to eight months after a two to four month incubation period; among nonimmune immigrants, multiple lesions may develop, which heal more slowly and leave disabling or disfiguring scars. A strong delayed hypersensitivity and involvement of immune complexes play a role in necrosis, which is part of the healing process and of the strong specific immunity that follows.
