a suborder of ameboid protozoa (order Amoebida, subclass Gymnamoebia), characterized by the presence of digitiform or mammilliform, usually blunt, normally unbranched subpseudopodia, most commonly produced from a broad hyaline lobe. Paramoeba is a representative genus.
