| ipecac (syrup) | <chemical> A syrup made from the dried rhizomes of two different species, c. Ipecacuanha and c. Acuminata of cephaelis (or uragoga) of the rubiaciae; they contain emetine, cephaeline, psychotrine and other isoquinolines.
