  • COP-Coated Vesicles - »õâ TRANSPORT VESICLES formed when cell-membrane coated pits (COATED PITS, CELL-MEMBRANE) invaginate and pinch off. The outer surface of these vesicles is covered with a lattice-like network of COP (coat protein complex) proteins, either COPI or COPII. COPI coated vesicles transport backwards from the cisternae of the GOLGI APPARATUS to the rough endoplasmic reticulum (ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM, ROUGH), while COPII coated vesicles transport forward from the rough endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus.
Synonyms : Coat Protein Complex-Coated Vesicles, COP Coated Vesicles, COP-Coated Vesicle, COPI Coated Vesicles, COPI-Coated Vesicle, COPII Coated Vesicles, COPII-Coated Vesicle, Coat Protein Complex Coated Vesicles, Coatomer Coated Vesicles, Coatomer-Coated Vesicle
  • Copepoda - »õâ A huge subclass of mostly marine CRUSTACEA, containing over 14,000 species. The 10 orders comprise both planktonic and benthic organisms, and include both free-living and parasitic forms. Planktonic copepods form the principle link between PHYTOPLANKTON and the higher trophic levels of the marine food chains.
    Synonyms : Copepods
  • Copper - »õâ A heavy metal trace element with the atomic symbol Cu, atomic number 29, and atomic weight 63.55.
Synonyms : Serum Copper Level, Copper Level, Serum, Level, Serum Copper
  • Copper Radioisotopes - »õâ Unstable isotopes of copper that decay or disintegrate emitting radiation. Cu atoms with atomic weights 58-62, 64, and 66-68 are radioactive copper isotopes.
    Synonyms : Radioisotopes, Copper
  • Copper Sulfate - »õâ A sulfate salt of copper. It is a potent emetic and is used as an antidote for poisoning by phosphorus. It also can be used to prevent the growth of algae.
Synonyms : Blue Vitriol, Sulfate, Copper, Sulfate, Cupric, Vitriol, Blue
