| 설명 | 죽상동맥경화증이란 대동맥같은 탄력성 동맥의 내층에 지방과 콜레스테롤로 이루어진 죽종이 생기는 병태이다. 죽종이 생긴 동맥은 죽종이 혈관의 내부로 돌출을 하게 되어서 혈관의 내경이 작아지게 된다. 이로 인해서 혈류가 감소하게 되고 계속 진행이 될 경우에는 완전히 동맥을 막을 수도 있다. 주로 중간크기의 동맥에 많이 생기며 대개 식이와 혈중에 있는 지방의 농도, 고혈압, 그리고 유전과 관련이 있다고 한다. |
