설명   
  1. 뼈파제트병. 변형성 뼈염. 뼈흡수 후 뼈형성이 반복적으로 과도하게 일어나는 것으로, 새롭게 형성된 뼈는 무질서하고 구조적으로 견고하지 못하다. 뼈흡수의 증가가 반복되고 이어서 과잉보수를 꾀하여 약하고 변형된 뼈의 부피가 증가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈병이다. 궁둥뼈의 만곡, 편평뼈의 변형을 일으키고, 동통 및 병적 골절을 수반한다. 2. 유방파제트병. 젖꽃판 및 젖꼭지의 염증성 암성 질병으로서 보통은 젖샘 및 유방 깊은 곳의 암을 동반한다. 보통 중년부인에게 발생한다.

    파겟 병, 파젯 질환, 파제트병, 변형성 골염, 페이젯씨 병
    1. 하나나 혹은 여러 골의 염증을 동반하는 원인 불명의 장애로서 무조직성 골 회복을 동반하는 골의 비후와 연화를 일으킨다. 2. 유방의 Paget병은 만성 습진과 유사하고 아포크린선이 많은 부위에 생긴다. 항문 주위에 생기는 것보다는 외음부에 생기는 것에서 동반된 한선 암이 있을 확률이 많다. 유방의 Paget병은 일측성 또는 드물게 양측성으로 오는 홍반성 인설성 판으로 진물이 날 수 있으며 때때로 유방암이 동반된다. 3. 골의 이형성 질환으로 40대 후반, 남성에 더 많으나, 여성에서 더 심하다. 다골성으로 산재하여 장골과 척추에 심한 병변을 야기하여 변형과 불구가 된다. 두개골과 상악골이 과도하게 성장하며, 때로는 하악골의 과도 성장도 일어난다. 4. 파골 세포와 골모 세포 활성이 조화를 이루지 못하면서 크기는 커지지만 더 약한 골을 만드는 나이든 성인에서 발생하는 질환으로 동통이 광범위하게 나타나며, 혈청 알카리성 인산 효소와 하이드록시 프롤린이 증가되고 악성 골 종양으로 발전할 가능성이 높다.

paget disease <radiology> Disease of unknown aetiology involving destruction and reparation, age greater than 40y; M:F 2:1, skull, osteoporosis circumscripta (outer table destroyed only), cotton wool appearance, increased hat size!, spine, monostotic vertebral involvment usually, pelvis, affected in 2/3 cases, consists of cortical thickening, enlargement of pubis/ischium, coarse trabecular pattern, extremities, blade of grass appearance, elevation of alk phos (up to 20X), normal calcium, normal phosphorus, complications: path fractures in 8% cases (usually femur = shepard's crook), malignant degeneration (usually osteosarcoma-50%, fibrosarcoma-25%)

It develops more frequently in women and predominantly involves apocrine gland-bearing areas, especially the vulva, scrotum, and perianal areas. The lesions develop as erythematous scaly patches that progress to crusted, pruritic, erythematous plaques. The clinical differential diagnosis includes squamous cell carcinoma in situ and superficial fungal infection. It is generally thought to be an adenocarcinoma of the epidermis, from which it extends into the contiguous epithelium of hair follicles and eccrine sweat ducts.
