| 설명 | 의탁할 수 있는 생물에 먹이와 환경을 의존하여 기생생활을 하는 무척추동물. 기생충에는 주로 단세포성의 기생원충(기생성 원생동물)과 기생연충-기생곤충 등의 다세포성 후생동물이 있다. 대개가 내부 기생이지만, 곤충을 주로 한 절지동물에는 외부기생이 주가 된다. 일생을 통하여 한 곳에 기생하는 것과, 일시적으로 기생하는 것이 있으며, 후자에는 다시 기생시기에 따라 유생기생-성충기생이 있다. 어느 경우에도 기생충과 숙주의 관계는 한정된 것이 많고, 한 종류에만 한정된 것에서 비교적 여러 종류의 것에 기생하는 것이 있지만, 대개는 기생에 기호가 있는 것이 보통이다. 일생 중에 몇 번이고 중간숙주를 바꾸는 것이 있고, 변태나 유생생식 등 복잡한 생활주기를 가지는 것도 있다. |
