| glucosuria |
glucose in the urine. Glucose is a sugar. Glucose is the major source of energy in the body's cells. Chains of glucose make up sucrose, or table sugar. Glucosuria is most often a normal variation of pregnancy, and not a sign of diabetes. Since glucose is smaller than protein it more easily slips through the holes in the kidneys' filters.
