| 설명 | 마비저균(Actinobacillus mallei)의 감염에 의하여 일어나는 가축의 법정 전염병. 본래는 말이나 당나귀의 병인데, 가축업자나 마부에게도 감염될 때가 있다. 증세는 코에 육아종이 생겨 점액성 고름이 나오고, 궤양이 형성되면 연골과 뼈조직에 괴사를 일으키기도 한다. 급성과 만성이 있는데 사람에게서는 급성으로 나타나는 경우가 많고, 이 경우 90%가 2~3주 내에 사망한다. 마비저균은 1882년 독일의 F.뢰플러와 J.슈츠가 발견한 그람 음성균이며 배양이 쉽다. 치료는 스트렙토마이신을 복용하지만 잘 낫지 않는다. 영국-미국 등에서는 이 병에 걸린 가축은 법에 따라 없애버린다. |
