| 설명 | 혈구를 생산하는 모든 골수계 세포들의 비정상적인 증식에 의해서 혈액속의 모든 혈구가 증가하는 병으로 특히 적혈구가 많이 증가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 병을 말한다. 대개 중년에 많이 생기며 남자에게 약간 많이 발생한다. 원인은 아직까지 정확히 밝혀지지 않았다. 대부분의 환자는 지라의 비대를 보이며 골수가 아닌 곳(간, 지라)에서 혈구를 생산하기도 한다. 대개 증상은 혈액속에 과도한 적혈구와 혈액의 양의 증가에 의해서 나타난다. 즉 혈액속에 과도한 적혈구가 존재하여서 혈액의 점도를 증가시켜서 이로 인해 뇌의 혈류가 감소되고 두통, 어지러움 등의 증상이 생긴다. 또 혈액의 점도의 증가는 정맥의 혈액의 순환속도를 낮추어서 혈전의 생성을 증가시킨다. 혈전이란 혈관내에서 혈액이 응고되어 만들어진 혈액응고의 덩이를 말한다. 이 병을 이차적으로 적혈구가 많아지는 거짓다혈구증에 대하여 참적혈구증가증, 혹은 참다혈구증이라고 부르기도 한다. |
